How Does a Dust Collector Valve Work?
In a pulse-jet dust collector, compressed air is stored in an air manifold or header. When the cleaning cycle is activated, the solenoid/pilot mechanism rapidly opens the diaphragm valve and releases a short, high-volume air pulse through the cleaning pipe. This pulse dislodges accumulated dust from the filter bags or cartridges, allowing the dust to fall into the collection hopper.
